Level 1 & Level 2 Safeguarding in Education

Sep 4 / Kate Marriott

Safeguarding knowledge and skills are an essential part of education . It's a crucial certification for all education professionals to hold.

Completing accredited Safeguarding training means that staff are aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect and can spot them as early as possible.
Education professionals who have a Safeguarding accreditation can recognise the signs and symptoms and know how to deal with Safeguarding concerns and disclosures properly.

The benefit of all Prospero Learning's training being online is that staff can complete the training at their own pace.

Completing safeguarding training not only fosters a safer working environment but also contributes to the overall well-being and protection of individuals who may be at risk.

Prospero Learning offers two different types of Safeguarding training courses. These are;

Level 1 Safeguarding in Education
- free to enroll and complete
Level 2 Safeguarding in Education
- £10 to enroll and complete - 50% off

Level 1 Safeguarding

Our CPD accredited Level 1 safeguarding training must be completed by all Prospero employees before they start working for us. The main aims of the Level 1 safeguarding course are:

• To be able to identify and recognise safeguarding concerns
• To know how to report a Safeguarding concern
• To know how to properly safeguard children and young people

The Level 1 course is approximately 1 hour in length and can be paused, saved, and returned to at any time.

There are short assessments at the end of each chapter as well as an end of course assessment that participants must pass to gain a certificate of completion.

The course is updated each year in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance that is updated annually.
